LEADERS RELIGIOUS HOLY LAND IN DEFENSE OF THE ENVIRONMENT
Jerusalem, May 19 (RV) - Jews, Christians and Muslims together in safeguarding the environment . The Council of Religious Institutions of the Holy Land (CRIHL) recently adopted a declaration on climate change.
According to the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, the written text expresses a religious call to address climate change. The aim of the declaration, which is based on scientific results of a group of UN experts, is stepping up action against climate change, invoking the moral authority of religious leaders.
Secondly, the document promotes interfaith cooperation on this issue that is of common interest. Reads the statement that climate change is a global challenge, so it is urgent to intervene.
" recognize the spiritual roots of this crisis and the importance of a religious response . We invite all our faithful to consider the planet and its resources as a gift of God and reduce emissions of gases that cause the greenhouse effect" - stresses note in the Council Religious Institutions of the Holy Land - inviting political leaders to implement stringent measures to prevent further damage to the climate. Note: Only one problem of this magnitude could lead to Ecumenism. No wonder that there are many reports attesting to the imminent destruction of the planet. Although there is much ballyhoo, the planet is really a deplorable situation, and the solution to this is the last day for giving thanks for creation, but the Roman Catholic Church insists on Sunday. Here's the problem. We understand why so many efforts of this religious denomination around the environment.
