Brain prefers classical music
Saying "This song is very good" or "Wow! What horrible music "is very common. Everyone has their particular tastes and reject artists and bands that are beyond personal preferences. But a poll published in the journal BMC Research Notes reveals that there may be a pattern. According to the article, people tend to like songs that sound "complex" in the ears, but they are "open to interpretation and stored" by the brain, such as classical compositions. The study's author, Nicholas Hudson, a biologist at the Australian Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization, said the brain compresses the musical information as a computer software makes an audio file: it identifies and removes unnecessary data standards or redundant. Classical music, for example, can seem complex to those who listen, but the brain can find patterns for the compression work. Little else is discarded. Hudson used compression programs listening to mimic how the brain and used songs that had been analyzed in a 2009 study that measured how 26 volunteers enjoy music from different genres such as classical, jazz, pop, folk, electronica, rock, punk, techno and tango.
Among the songs they chose the biologist, "I Should Be So Lucky" from Kylie Minogue, was compressed to 69.5% of its original size, "White Wedding", the Billy Idol was reduced to 68.5%, and Beethoven's Third Symphony was reduced to 40.6% of its initial size. The brain, as the software found more patterns in the music of German composer. With other songs, he made short work of compression, because the rest was "thrown away". By comparison, the songs more "compressible" those were chosen as the most pleasant in the 2009 study.
But why our brain likes the songs that make you work harder to compress them? "It's our nature to feel more satisfaction in achieving a goal when the task is more difficult. Things easy bring a superficial pleasure. The simplest songs, with few compression standards, quickly become annoying and no longer stimulating, "said Hudson. This is an explanation for that feeling to get sick of a song quickly. The test also included random noises that could only be compressed to 86%. The result was that these sounds caused indifference and boredom in people.
has been said that classical music helps memory, helps focus on studies and may even make people smarter. This is another study that proves the quality of classical music, but as the saying goes, no accounting for taste. [In However, with regard to sacred music, and principles are discussed above are personal tastes. - MB]

Michelson Borges Note: I once talked with a popular singer Adventist and she told me she had become convinced that the ideal was not to use the strong percussion accompaniments. I asked her how she had come to that conclusion and she replied: "The responsibility for the production of my CD asked me if I wanted the drums tracks. I was studying the matter and said he did not want drums. His response confirmed my decision. He said the battery helps to sell and make music simpler also cheapens the production. Without battery, it would have to invest in improving the orchestration. But it's not just that we have to do, offer the best for God? "Unfortunately, in the Christian community there are those that produce disposable music, repetitive (almost hypnotic) and full of dissonance, melismas (vocal concerts) and strong percussion. Remember that, as shown in the above research, the brain identifies patterns and remove unnecessary or redundant data. " There's music in the Adventist Hymnal, for example, which have been sung for centuries and still speak to the heart of the worshiper modern. On the other hand, there is music "sacred" created recently and that quickly become "annoying" and are doomed to oblivion. The musician, just like any other Christian professional, you should always ask yourself: Is this the best I can offer to God or just about anything to suit my taste and taste of my 'fans'? "[MB]

IS SOMETHING THAT IS HAPPENING WRONG WITH OUR PLANET? With
Most scientists answers that question with an emphatic "No!", saying that everything that is happening is normal. Does everything really is normal, or what is happening is just a harbinger of something bigger that will happen?
For this brief paper, I have data and information that can analyze with caution, if indeed we are faced with signs that indicate the most anticipated event of all time: the return of Christ. The site
Yahoo News, in January 2010, reported the following: "According to a study sponsored by the UN, almost 60% of the estimated 780,000 deaths in disasters occurred between 2000 and 2009 due to earthquakes. Hurricanes were responsible for 22% of all deaths while the extreme temperatures caused 11% of deaths in 3852 reported disasters over the period studied. The researchers expressed their concern over climate disasters, whose number was double compared to the previous decade. "
Brother Michelson Borges reported on its website Creationism, the following information:" Japan has had 10 major earthquakes (above 6.5 on the Richter scale) between 1900 and 2000. Between 2001 and 2011 was 12. "
Similar to this information, the site Hypescience said: "Some scientists, however, claim that the Earth is more 'active' in the last 15 years than it was in a near past ... Although the majority held that the Earth is behaving normally, the number of tremors recorded is greater in the last 15 years. "
These data led me to research on a biblical passage found in Luke, which says:" ... there will be great earthquakes in many places "Luke 21:11. In this verse we find two significant terms that may clarify some doubts: 1) there will be great earthquakes - the term used in Greek for large megs is very used to describe major events - means that would increase the destructive power of earthquakes, 2) in many places - the Greek term used is tops among its various meanings, is "inhabited place, as a city, village, district." Taking into account this information, it appears that one of the signs of Christ's return is the occurrence of large (mega) earthquakes in inhabited places (topos), such as cities, towns, etc.. Perhaps thinking about this was that Ellen White wrote: "...[ Satan] will bring disease and disaster, until populous cities are reduced to ruin and desolation. In accidents and calamities by sea and land routes in earthquakes .... everywhere and in a thousand forms, Satan is exercising his power. " The Great Controversy, pp. 637-639. "I declare the order of the message, saying the cities ... will be destroyed by earthquakes, by fire and flood. Everyone will be warned that there is a God who will demonstrate His divine authority. Their invisible instruments will cause destruction, devastation and death. All the accumulated wealth will be like nothing. "Evangelism, pg. 27.
See this statement was published on the site Hypescience : "According to the researchers, is the frequency nor the intensity of earthquakes is different, just the disaster is greater. How? It is because the quakes are happening in places more populous. "Realize that it corroborates the thesis presented in the previous paragraph.
is true that the man began to measure the intensity and frequency of earthquakes just over a century, and in geological terms, it is hardly time to draw up conclusions. Therefore, said physicist Joseph Umberto Travaglia, coach of Seismological Observatory of UnB: "You can not say that we're in an era of even more severe tremors that are not." R7
This statement is perhaps the most sensible. However, some data makes us alert, see:
The table below shows the number of earthquakes that occurred from 2000 to 2011.
Not included is the official death toll from the earthquake Japan
The table below shows the number of earthquakes that occurred from 1990 to 1999.
Taking into account the years between 1990 to 1999, the average is 19578.2 earthquakes earthquakes per year. Between the years 2000 to 2009 the average is 23,250. This does not seem so worrisome. However if we look at other data, we have only one conclusion: between the years 1990 to 1999 was 06 (six) earthquakes above 8.0 on the Richter scale, while between 2000 to 2009 was 13 (thirteen). An increase of more than 100%. Another worrying statistic is the number of dead. Between the years 1990 to 1999 the deaths were caused by earthquakes of between 114,646 and 471,015 were from 2000 to 2009. These results corroborate the theory that earthquakes are more destructive (megs) and deadly, for the increase in deaths explanation is that the earthquakes occurred in more populated places (cities - tops). Conclusion
If we consider these data, we are fully convinced that we are very close to Christ's return, especially by the fact that not only are these signs that point to it, but a series of other events that are happening simultaneously . For example:
Signs in Nature: Earthquakes, hurricanes, etc.. (Matthew 24:8, Luke 21:11 and 25-26)
Signs in society: corruption, immorality, violence, etc.. (II Timothy 3:1-4)
Signs in the religious world: religion returned to the world stage and seems here to stay. Recently the site of the Globe published an article which, in summary, he advised: "Adopt a religion and be happy." (Matthew 24:24).
So we are very near the end of all things. I believe that our real need is not boasting, but to seek God in prayer and cry out for a revival of true godliness among the people of God. Want to do this? Then click here .

In the UK they are called "biskwitami" in Spain "Galletas" in Germany "fruitcake," and in Italy, "biscotti." Each country has their favorite cookies. In the U.S. and Canada is a "chocolate chip cookie" in England "butter cookies" in France "Sables" and "macaroons" and in Italy "Cantuccini.
Nowadays we eat cookies at any time of the day: a break for coffee, a snack, dessert or even give them a gift. Wonder is in them that, depending on your mood can have different shapes, sizes, flavors and texture.

revised magnitude tremor in Japan becomes 4th worst in world history
Initially, U.S. Geological Survey estimated the quake was at 8.9.
Quake and tsunami cause death, destruction and humanitarian crises and nuclear.
The U.S. Geological Survey, U.S. agency that studies earthquakes, raised on Monday (14) from 8.9 to 9 the magnitude of the quake that struck the coast of Japan on Friday. Now, the earthquake has risen from seventh to fourth in the intensity scale of the agency, tied with shivering 1952 in Russia, the region of 1700 in California (USA) and 1868 in Peru.
The quake triggered a tsunami with waves up to 10 meters that devastated coastal regions of the country's northeast, causing many deaths.
The earthquake struck at 14h46 local (2:46 a.m. GMT) at a depth of 32 km, 178 km from the city of Fukushima and 373 km from the capital, Tokyo.
The Japanese Meteorological Agency also had reviewed and increased to a magnitude 9 quake. Until now, Japanese experts had reported that the magnitude of the quake was of 8.8.
The official death toll from the earthquake reached 1,833, according to Police National. There are 2,361 missing, according to statement released late on Monday (14) by local time. But, according to authorities and the press, the figure should rise significantly, as rescue work, still very difficult in several regions, continue.
